Raising children confidently

Parenting is an adventure, full of questions, choices, and challenges. In a world of digital distractions, endless advice, and an increasingly individualised society, it can feel overwhelming. That's why Comon supports people with ideas that help parents feel stronger and more confident in raising their children. Together, we're building a more connected parenting community, because it takes a village to raise a child. Parenting stress comes in many forms. Let yourself be inspired by the biggest challenges parents are facing today.

Everyone with an idea is welcome

At Comon, we take swift action: trying things out, succeeding, sometimes failing, and trying again. And especially: learning a lot along the way. Comon wants to spark 40 ideas about parenting in a low-threshold, accessible way. Even if your idea isn't perfect yet, it can still generate valuable insights. Everyone with an idea is welcome. Want to host a neighbourhood picnic? Print conversation cards for parents and children? Organise childcare with your neighbours? Build a family planner? It's all possible!

  • Make parenting and growing up even more beautiful. It takes a village to raise a child.
  • Meet warm, inspiring people. You'll get the chance to connect with Comon's broad network of entrepreneurs, policymakers, researchers, and technologists. It's an opportunity to strengthen your idea, start new collaborations, and discover fresh possibilities.
  • Receive up to €250 to cover your expenses, such as drinks to start conversations with families, travel, participation in activities, or materials for a prototype.
  • We'll help put your idea in the spotlight. Your idea can even be featured in the parenting info corner on the ground floor of De Krook.

How does it work?

  1. Share your idea

Tell Comon about your idea to support parents in raising their children. This could mean bringing parents together, supporting families, or responding to individual needs such as mental health, disabilities, or other challenges at home. Submit your idea before April 2026.

  1. Getting to know you

We don't judge the content. Every idea is welcome. Applicants must be private individuals: not organisations, associations, businesses, government bodies, religious or political projects, or fundraising initiatives. Ideas that include technology as part of the solution are encouraged, but not required. After you complete the application form, we'll get in touch for a short introductory conversation. You'll briefly explain your approach, and we'll ask whether we may take a professional photo of you to help share your idea with the world.

  1. Budget

Afterwards, you'll receive up to €250 to help develop your idea. You can use this money to cover the expenses of bringing your idea to life. When your project is finished, simply submit proof of payment.

Rules and guidelines

In the guidelines, you'll find more information about how you can use the budget, how the reimbursement works, and other practical details.

Read the guidelines (Dutch only)

Sarah's dream that became reality: a warm space for families

Image
Sarah Pannekoeke

Sarah knew from her own experience how lonely parenting can feel sometimes. That's why she founded STAM: a welcoming space where parents can catch their breath and children can play freely. Out of that personal need grew a "tribe" that supports, connects, and inspires. What started as a dream at her kitchen table has grown into a vibrant garden full of care and encounters. With Comon's support, Sarah keeps dreaming forward. She is the very first person to receive help to grow her idea. Thanks to Comon's support, she was able to invest in materials: play items for the children, the rental of a coffee machine, a calming tree-inspired rocking chair, and more.
